Berlin

Words have been failing me lately...but, here is the blog post I promised.

and words to go with it: Berlin was fantastic. I saw the bundestag, Potsdam, walked a lot and stayed in a Japanese youth hostel in the middle of the forest in east berlin... the toilets were in the shower. But atleast all of our love for one another beat that hostel.
I had a great time. And I miss Germany.

And the countdown begins

EH, I was counting down since I had 99 days left.
But, Now it's the real deal. 2 weeks until I am in D.C and 3 weeks until I am home in good-'ol Provo

So, in 3 weeks time I will have been in Munich (which I did yesterday), Nuernberg, Bamberg (this coming saturday), Berlin next week, Frankfurt, Washington D.C, Maryland, Salt lake City and then what-do-you-know Provo.

Home?

Everything finally feels like home now. It took about 8 months for that to finally sink in. And it only lasts another 2 weeks... Bittersweet. Bittersweet feelings.

I'm the kind of girl that usually can't give myself credit for anything. You may call that humble, but I see it completely differently. I'm the kind of girl that'll smash herself up with complaints, hates, criticism until my limbs are completely broken and somehow slightly forgive myself until the next cycle comes around the corner.
So, I think this gal deserves some credit. So I will try to give her some.
I am proud of how well I stuck to speaking German and not English. I am especially proud of how much my german skills have improved, along with my accent.
I am proud of myself for becoming the independant girl I wanted to be.
I am proud of myself for hanging on through all the many trials that came my way.
I am proud of myself for becoming more open, less introverted.
I am proud of the way my eyes have a view much broader than ever before.

Now there are a lot of other things that I am not quite proud of. But, I guess I can comfort myself by saying that I am only human. Things like that happen. Like losing a running shoe, not running enough, not taking school more seriously. THE LIST IS ENDLESS.

May-day, May-day!
We just hit June. And it is inevitable that we will not see the month of July

in this land.

Die

You know you have been in Germany too long when you look at Justin Bieber's new album coming up called "Die in your arms" and keep looking at the word die and wondering why in the world he would use a german word on his album.
die is either an article in the german language or used in the colliqual language as they, she or formal you. Pronounced a lot differently than the English word.

My brain is becoming too confused.

Regensburg

Went down and visited Catherine Bui in Regensburg :). Bought a dirndl, had a great time with her family, watched the Bayern Munich game and overall just had a good time.
