The coolest joint in Provo.

So, because of my choir class; i have to i have to drop my every day things and attend a concert every term, and with that; write a concert report on that concert.
Well, let me tell you...... Because i never went to our school's band concert, or orchestra, i had to find something cheap, and fast. For, people don't perform right after christmas (it's just the way it works). Well, this is where it get's fun.... I remember attending a flea market at this shabby little shop like thing (if you will.) And i bought some pretty rad vintage items, which are still in my prize possessions. This place actually happens to be a local music gallery. So, i thought "hey, they play music, and it's indie, i like indie. Let's go" So i found out they were playing a Christmas show this last Saturday night.
Well, guess what? It was the coolest concert i have ever been too. Who'd have thought? these guys have a lot more talent (in my opinion) than a lot of these guys you hear on the radio these days. Don't get me wrong, i love a lot of "big" artists, but these local kids are just as good. And they're cool. It was great. Especially a lot of their remakes of christmas songs. I loved it. And you will probably too, if you don't have a problem with what indie style brings.

Whoa Nelly.

So, if any of you really know me. I get absurd obsessions that come and eventually slowly go. Well, there is this one obsession that has never left my side.....Wait for it...... I am in fact obsessed with europe, and with almost everything that comes with Europe. And if you also know me well, I love the German language. So much, that I actually find myself thinking in German, dreaming in German, and sometimes actually speaking in German, when i should be speaking in English.
I will now, finally get to the point. I'm applying to be an exchange student for a full year in Germany next year. Scary? I know. I tell myself that everyday. But, it thrills me so much to think about living there, and experiencing life there for a whole year, and still being an adolescent. I still am in the process of applying to get a fully paid scholarship there. I just pray i'll get accepted. Just imagine me in Germany .......... Can you do it? Me too. It's magical. It makes me smile and then a second later Iget drowned by fear. But, it makes me smile more than feel sick to my stomach. So, I will just follow the happiness it brings me.
I plan on sending the application the end of next week. Which coincidentally is my 16th birthday (which i'm kind of dreading), and after that. Wir werden was passiert sehen. (we will see what happens.)
I'm writing this blog because i have realized my English skills aren't the best and if I'm going to be living in Germany and speaking German, I better be able to speak and write my own language first.
Tschüs!
